“If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!”
Proverbs 24:10 (NIV)
Difficult times have a way of exposing what we rely on most. When life is smooth, it’s easy to feel strong. But our true strength is tested when hardships like unexpected loss, financial strain, and broken relationships come.
Proverbs 24:10 challenges us to reflect on how we respond to adversity. Do we falter, overwhelmed by fear and doubt? Or do we lean into God’s strength, allowing Him to sustain us? The truth is, our own strength will always have limits, but God’s strength is limitless. When trials come, instead of shrinking back, we can draw near to the One who holds all things together.
His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. No challenge is too great when God is our source of endurance. This week challenge yourself and think about how you typically respond to adversity. Think about what are some practical ways you can lean on God’s strength.
