“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22–23
Every morning reminds us that God’s faithfulness has not run out. When we face uncertainty, regret, or the weight of everyday responsibilities, it is easy to believe we must carry it all alone. But Scripture teaches something different: we are sustained by God’s mercy, not our own strength. Lamentations was written during one of Israel’s darkest seasons, yet even then, the author pointed to God’s enduring love. His mercies are not carefully rationed as though they might run out. They are endless and renewed each day. No matter what yesterday held, today is a fresh beginning because of God’s compassion. We move forward in hope, trusting not in our performance, but in His unwavering faithfulness.
This week, as you walk through meetings, deadlines, family demands, struggles, or unexpected news, remember: you are not consumed, not abandoned, and not running on empty. God’s mercy is freshly given each morning, enough for today, tomorrow, and whatever this week brings. Instead of trying to predict or control what the week holds, rest in what never changes: His great love, His endless compassion, His unshakable faithfulness. Let every morning this week be a small celebration, not because the day is perfect, but because His mercy is.
