“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.”

Jeremiah 17:8

This verse presents a vivid image of resilience and trust. A tree planted by water thrives because its roots reach a constant source of nourishment. Similarly, when we place our trust in God, we find stability and strength, regardless of external circumstances.
This tree does not fear heat or drought; its leaves remain green, and it continues to bear fruit. In our lives, challenges and uncertainties are inevitable. However, by staying connected to God, we can maintain peace and productivity even in difficult times.

This week, reflect on what areas of your life do I need to deepen my trust in God? How can you ensure that your daily routines keep you connected to God’s sustaining presence? What steps can you take this week to remain fruitful, even when facing challenges? Reflecting on this, consider where you draw your strength. Are your roots reaching into the life-giving stream of God’s presence? Trusting in Him provides the foundation to withstand life’s trials and to flourish amidst them.
