Summer Reading List

Home 5 Academics 5 Summer Reading List

Heritage Christian School’s summer reading program is your chance to relax, explore great stories, and get a head start on the upcoming school year. Over the summer, you’ll choose one engaging book from a list designed for the grade level you’ll be entering in the fall. As you read, annotate anything that captures your attention—favorite quotes, interesting ideas, or thoughts you want to remember.

Be sure to bring your book with you during the first two weeks of school, because you’ll have the chance to share what you’ve learned, discuss your favorite parts, and participate in interactive activities that help you explore the story even more.

Heads up! Books with an asterisk (*) include clear Christian themes, so you’ll know which stories explore faith as part of the story. You may also read an additional novel and bring that annotated novel to class for an opportunity to receive extra credit.
